Assessment and Therapeutic Support
At OnePlace Homes, our dedicated, experienced, and qualified team provides daily support, tailored one-to-one sessions, and a structured environment that encourages young people to develop independence and emotional resilience. We work alongside a network of highly skilled therapists and counsellors to gain a deeper understanding of each young person’s emotional and psychological needs through specialised assessments.
These assessments form the foundation for planning and arranging any therapeutic support required to meet the individual needs of each young person.
Our therapists and counsellors offer a wide range of services, including assessments, psychotherapy, observational studies, play, music, and drama therapy, psychodynamic counselling, meditation, humanistic counselling, equine and animal-assisted therapy, and liaison with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and other specialist agencies.
In addition to working directly with young people, our therapists provide regular group supervision and clinical guidance for our staff team. This reflective practice ensures that our support approach remains consistent, therapeutic, and responsive to the needs of each young person, helping them to achieve their personal goals.
Trauma-Informed Support
At OnePlace Homes, we recognise that many young people may have experienced difficult or traumatic events that impact their emotional well-being, relationships, and daily life. Our trauma-informed approach focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and understanding environment where young people feel heard, respected, and empowered.
We work closely with therapists, counsellors, and multi-disciplinary teams to provide tailored support that helps young people process their experiences, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. Every member of our team is trained to respond with compassion, sensitivity, and professionalism, ensuring that young people receive the guidance and encouragement they need to move forward with confidence. Transition and Life Skills Support
At OnePlace Homes, we are committed to helping young people gain the skills and confidence they need to successfully transition into independent adulthood. Our tailored life skills programme focuses on practical, everyday skills such as budgeting, cooking, household management, personal organisation, and digital literacy.
We work alongside young people to build their independence at a pace that suits them, providing guidance and encouragement as they set and achieve personal goals. By developing these essential life skills, we empower young people to feel confident, self-sufficient, and ready for the next stage of their lives.
Accommodation for Independence
At OnePlace Homes, we provide safe, supportive, and welcoming accommodation designed to help young people take confident steps towards independent living. Our homes offer a nurturing environment where young people can develop essential life skills, build self-confidence, and receive personalised support tailored to their goals. We focus on creating a positive space where every young person feels valued, empowered, and ready to move forward into adulthood.
EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS
At OnePlace Homes, we prepare young people for the world of work by helping them develop essential employability skills that build confidence and open doors to future opportunities. Our support includes training in computer and digital skills, CV writing, interview preparation, and effective communication.
We also introduce young people to customer service skills, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving—key abilities that are valued in any workplace. By combining practical workshops with personalised guidance, we ensure that young people are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to pursue meaningful employment, apprenticeships, or further training.
